Detailed description of Rapid City Executive Golf Course
Rapid City Executive Golf Course, is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Rapid City, South Dakota.
The course first opened for play in 1989.
Par for the course is 29. From the back tees the course plays to 1,261 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 1,061 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 6, a par-4 that plays to 300 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 9, a par-3 that plays to 69 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 300 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 9, a 69 yard par-3.
Executive is a nine hole facility with seven par threes and two par fours. Situated amongst giant cottonwoods with Rapid Creek running along two of the nine holes. Water hazards (including a pond with a fountain) come into play on some holes. Many mature trees line the fairways, and the greens are medium-sized.

Fun little executive course. Good place to practice your irons.

Course was closed for the winter season BUT was opened for golfers to play Backwards, Green to Tee boxes. I wish more courses in the snow belt areas would open their courses for this type of play. Each day I brought a different club (9,8,7 iron) and tweaked it to yardage I needed. I was surprised at how the fairway grass was full without many bare spots with the many large shade trees throughout the course. Unsure of the green conditions as they were covered which means they really care about them, which is good. This is a great little warmup/tuneup course for those fairway irons when you get to those longer courses and 2nd shots. At 1,323yds with seven(7) Par 3's and two (2) Par 4's at 289/293yds this is a fun 1.5hr lunch hour track.
